Stating that the AIADMK and DMK were simply promoting a culture of freebies, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said the BJP would rather focus on the State's development. “Both the DMK and AIADMK want the people to remain poor and dependent on them for freebies during the elections. They are only for temporary joy and overshadow the actual issues such as power and water shortage in the State which need attention,” he said at a meeting in Mylapore.

“The AIADMK and the DMK, which has entered into a coalition with the Congress, are extremely corrupt while no one has pointed fingers at the BJP-led governments at the Centre accusing it of corruption.” - Staff Reporter
