BIS seizes bubbletops with expired licences

A team of officials from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), southern region, seized 20-litre bubble tops filled with drinking water bearing ISI mark, despite an expired licence.

During a raid at Aruna Aqua Product, Avalur, Kancheepuram, the team found that the brand name ‘Indaqua’ belonging to Varuna Associates was also being misused. Bubbletops with the brand name ‘Kanchi Aqua’ were also seized for misuse of ISI mark.

People may intimate BIS of such instances at the BIS office at 044-22541076.
