Bail for 4 more in PSBB drowning case

The Madras High Court granted anticipatory bail to four employees of PSBB School, K.K. Nagar, where a boy drowned in the swimming pool.

A case was registered under Section 304 (II) IPC after the death of Ranjan in the school’s swimming pool on August 16. On Monday, the Madras High Court granted advance bail to Sheela Rajendra, deputy dean, and Ravichandran, physical education instructor, in the same case.

Other employees of the school — Rajasekaran, Rangareddy, Arunkumar and Ravi, cited as accused in the case — too, filed similar petitions foolowing which Justice T. Sudanthiram granted anticipatory bail on Friday.

They were asked to execute bonds for Rs. 25,000 and furnish two sureties to the police. They were also ordered to appear before the police on Saturdays and Sundays for four weeks.
