The K.K. Nagar Regional Transport Office has come up with a novel idea to spread awareness about road safety measures among people applying for a licence at the branch.

Henceforth, those who want to get a license will have to fill up a personal commitment card stating they will follow traffic rules, wear seat beats and helmets while driving, not use phone while driving.

Joint effort

The initiative has been jointly launched by a private oil company. Mahadevan, founder of ‘Safe Family Network India,’ says:

“Many blame the government, road infrastructure, others, but themselves for any incident. This personal commitment card will make people think about road safety.”
