The third edition of the Audi RITZ Icon Awards 2011 was held here recently to honour inspirational individuals and successful brands in various categories.

Actor Vikram, director K. Balachander, designer Anamika Khanna, director A.L. Vijay, entrepreneur Omar Sait, glass artist Anjali Srinivasan, artist couple Ramachandran and Anamika, singer Benny Dayal, flautist Navin Iyer, poet Kutti Revathi and visually impaired chess player S.T. Saikrishna were given awards in the individual category.

Awards were also presented in the retail category. They went to Asiana Hotel for the ‘Most Relaxing Dining Experience'; Above Sea Level, Raintree Hotel, St. Mary's Road for ‘Best Rooftop Resto-bar'; The Great Kabab Factory at Radisson BLU Hotel GRT for ‘Most Innovative Cuisine in a Restaurant'; Stix, The Hyatt Regency for ‘Best Oriental Cuisine'; Hilton for ‘The Most Promising Debutant in Hospitality'; Raintree, Vivanta by Taj Connemara for ‘Best Southern Cuisine'; Courtyard by Marriott and The Wharf, Radisson Blu Resort Temple Bay, Mamallapuram for ‘Best Sunday Brunch'; Vasco's at Hilton for ‘Best Multicuisine Restaurant in a Hotel'; Rhapsody at Courtyard by Marriott for ‘Best Italian Cuisine'; Hidesign for ‘Best Affordable Leather Accessories'; ‘Evolv' for ‘Best Affordable Multi Designer Prêt Store'; and Burberry for ‘Most Coveted International Luxury Retailer'.
