Ascendas and Tamil Nadu Differently-Abled Federation Charitable Trust (TNDAFC) came together for the sixth consecutive year to give away the Ascendas Excellence Award, 2012. The ceremony was held at Triple Helix Auditorium, CLRI Campus, Adyar, to felicitate 10 individuals who have contributed towards the benefit of differently-abled individuals in the State.

Initiated as part of community initiative, the Ascendas Excellence Award has over the years recognised the talent of 75 special individuals. This year, the awardees included parents, individuals and associations, who have supported these special achievers. The award consists of a trophy, certificate and cash prize.

K. Ramanujam, Director General of Police, Chidambaranathan, President, TNDAFC, Thomas Teo, Chief Executive Officer, Ascendas India Operations, and Balaji, Vice-President and Head, Ascendas Chennai and Coimbatore Operations, were the special guests.

Speaking on the occasion, Thomas Teo, said “All our community efforts come under the Ascendas Gives Foundation which supports art, community and environment.

Ascendas Excellence Award is one of our special community initiatives.”
