Disabled in Chennai demand right to mobility

Members from the Tamil Nadu Udavikaram Association for the Welfare of the Differently Abled and concerned citizens symbolically went on their tricycles and crutches to the office of the Commissioner for the Welfare of Differently Abled in K. K. Nagar, Chennai, July 14, 2013 Sunday. Even the immediate neighbourhood of the Commissioner's office is hostile to people, more so the disabled. One man got off his tricycle and crawled on the road, to demonstrate the poor state of Chennai civic infrastructure. Video: G. Ananthakrishnan
