Staccato, a Chennai-based band will perform to a 250,000 strong crowd at the London Olympics in July 2012. Members of the band believe the appeal of their music derives largely from a contemporary treatment of Indian ragas and talas, reports Prince Frederick of The Hindu MetroPlus.
