Admission is on for short-term courses of five-month duration at S.C.S. Kothari Academy for Women. The institution offers vocational education to those who are unable to become a part of the main stream of education and also for housewives. For the past 32 years this academy is working to empower women by providing job-oriented courses. The academy collaborates with reputed institutions and industrial houses. Campus interviews are held every year for direct recruitment.

Every department is equipped with modern laboratories and Internet facilities.

Hostel facility is provided. The one-year Early Childhood Education Programme equips women with abilities to organise play schools and work as teachers for kindergarten classes.

Attached to the teacher training course there is a play school for children for the age group of two to three-and-a-half years.

The other one-year courses are Fashion Designing and postgraduate diploma in Interior Designing.
