Anticipatory bail for DMDK MLAs

The Madras High Court on Tuesday granted anticipatory bail to DMDK legislators for alleged offences of obscene acts and criminal intimidation last week.

Justice P.Devadass passed the order on a petition by K.Thinkakaran and CH.Sekar.

The petitioners said the case of the prosecution was that the complainant, a Special Sub-Inspector, had alleged that while evicting members from the Legislative Assembly on February 19, the petitioners assaulted him and threatened him with consequences.

Allege political motive

The two legislators alleged that they were targeted with a political motive.
