Looks like Director Lingusamy could be working with actor Karthi soon. Film industry watcher Sreedhar Pillai’s tweet that the duo will be coming together after the super hit ‘Paiyya’ for a film titled ‘Yenni Yezhu Naal’ created a buzz on the social network on Thursday.

Karthi, whose career has seen a lot of highs and lows within the short span that he has been a leading man, will be hoping to recreate the box office magic of ‘Paiyaa’. His last outing, the Venkat Prabhu-directed ‘Biryani’ was a hit and had helped regain some lost ground for the actor after a series of box office disasters.

Yet another television personality is making the transition to the silver screen.

Bobby, title winner of the dance show ‘Maanada Mayilada’ season 7, will soon debut in a Tamil movie, ‘Ennamo Edho’.

Following the path of several actors who used television careers as a springboard to success in movies, Bobby too hopes to make it big in Tamil filmdom. His passion for dance took him to the reality show on Kalaignar TV and he went on to become the show’s presenter too. “I will be playing the role of a close friend of actor Gautham Karthik, the hero of ‘Ennamo Edho’. There was scope to perform comedy in the movie,” says Bobby about his debut.

He is also glad that he got a platform to showcase his mettle as a dancer. “I got to dance in a club song in the movie by debutant director Ravi Thyagarajan,” says the nimble-footed actor who will wait for viewers’ response before making his next choice in films.

Directed by ad film-maker Jai, the film, described as a ‘whacky comedy’, follows the journey of four smugglers and the various twists in their path after they have a change of heart.

“Maybe I just feel like everyone else, but this movie looks and sounds different. It is very strong on visual aesthetics,” says Mathivanan. Andhra Mess — which also stars A.P. Shreethar, Raj Bharath and Balaji Mohan in lead roles — is being shot in locales in Chennai and Pune.
