“EC is partisan”

Former Union Health Minister and PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss on Tuesday accused the Election Commission of being “partisan to the ruling AIADMK” for the pace at which the by-poll was announced for R.K. Nagar.

“They have announced the by-election in record pace. The Opposition will have no time prepare a fight against the might of the ruling party, which usually sends all its Ministers to the by-poll constituencies,” he said.

He said his party will not contest the by-poll since it was a waste of time and energy. “Since Tirumangalam, by-polls have been won with money power. This one won't be different,” he said.
