An exhibition of ‘Moods of Margazhi’

The January edition of The Hindu Shutterbug photography contest, conducted by Margazhi.org, captured the magic of the Margazhi season of music and dance.

The month-long Moods of Margazhi contest saw nearly 600 photographs under the categories of artistes, rasikas , venues and food, submitted through The Hindu 's in-house app – thehindushutterbug.com.

A panel of judges, which included Venket Ram, Sanjay Sridhar, T.M. Krishna, Ahalya S. and Lata Ganapathy, has chosen 75 photographs to be featured in an exhibition between January 21 and 23, at Art Houz Gallery, Kasturi Rangan Road, Alwarpet.

The exhibition will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on all three days. Apart from the prize winners, a special ‘People's Choice’ award will also be given. Voting for this award is open at www.thehindushutterbug.com until January 23.

The presenting sponsor of the contest is Sarangi - the Kanjivaram Sari store. Other sponsors include Rasvihar, AM Infrastructure Pvt Ltd and AGS Cinemas. ITC Mangaldeep Division and Leo Coffee are the exhibition’s co-sponsors.
