Confluence of Music: Shankar Mahadevan and Aruna Sairam

GA Trust, a charitable organisation, presents ‘Sampradhaya 2012’, a fund raiser for its hospital, Guruji Medical Centre, in Thennangur, Tamil Nadu, on August 12.

Sampradhaya will bring together two doyens of music — Shankar Mahadevan and Aruna Sairam — in a concert August 12 at Gnanananda Hall, Narada Gana Sabha Trust, Alwarpet. Aruna, a stalwart of the Carnatic school and Shankar Mahadevan, a brilliant artist of myriad musical genres, come together to create a rare confluence of ‘Sangeetam’ and ‘Sankeertan’.

Donor passes will be available online through sulekha.com, select Landmark outlets and at the venue.

Guruji Medical Centre offers free medical care to over 150 villages in and around Vandavasi. This endeavour of the GA Trust facilitates numerous poor and economically challenged persons to avail free medical care and treatment.
