The AIADMK-Amma on Monday unveiled a constituency-specific manifesto for the upcoming byelection in Dr. Radhakrishnan Nagar, where its deputy general secretary T.T.V. Dinakaran is in the fray. Among the highlights of the manifesto is a promise to build 57,000 houses for the homeless and create a mobile app named ‘Vision RK Nagar’.

The manifesto, released by veteran party leader Panruti S. Ramachandran, was received by Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami at the party head office here on Monday.

It stated that houses would be constructed for 57,000 people who had submitted a petition to former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, seeking homes.

Other notable promises in the manifesto include the construction of a multi super speciality hospital in Tondiarpet, 10 polyclinics, 10 mobile hospitals and employment assistance centres in R.K. Nagar.

It also states that mega job fairs would be organised for the youth and women in the constituency. Coaching centres for competitive exams, government jobs and bank exams would be established, it adds.

A world-class gym, modernisation of the Ezhil Nagar dumping yard in Kodungaiyur and the VOC fish market are the other promises made in the manifesto.
