Three-day travel, tourism fair kicks off at Trade Centre

Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF), a three-day event, is being held at Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam.

More than 120 national and international participants have set up pavilions.

The fair has grown by 30 per cent over last year, said the organisers.

Participants from 20 States and Union Territories have set up stalls.

They include State tourism boards, national tourist offices, hoteliers, airlines, tour operators and travel agents, online travel companies, railways, cruises and other travel marketers.

Countries represented at Chennai include Malaysia, Singapore, Russia, Nepal and Sri Lanka.

Other exhibitors include India B2B Solutions, Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation Ltd, Southern Travels Pvt Ltd, India Tourism Development Corporation, Tamara Coorg, Itzcash and many more.

G. Ibrahim, the organiser, said the fair provides an important opportunity to be present in the hugely strategic market of South India.

The trade show, now in its 28th year has resulted in creating a firm and strong network for the travel industry to explore the full potential and opportunities in domestic and outbound travel, he said.
