7-year-old girl dies of dengue at ICH

Sandhya, 7, a resident of Old Perungalathur, died at the Institute of Child Health and Hospital for Children on Friday afternoon after undergoing treatment for dengue, health officials said.

Sandhya was suffering from fever for more than a week and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital.

She was diagnosed with dengue and referred to the institute on Wednesday, the officials added.
