Around 100 sovereigns of gold jewellery along with diamonds and Rs. 3 lakh in cash have reportedly gone missing from a house belonging to an industrialist in Defence Colony in Nandambakkam.
The house owner, A. Jayaprakash, had filed a complaint with the Nandambakkam police on Friday night stating that he found the jewellery and cash missing after he returned from a trip to Tirupathi.
When he and his family returned from the temple town on Fridaythey found the back door of the house open. Nandambakkam police are investigating.
