A 21-year-old youth was stabbed by death by an armed group on the outskirts of the city on Sunday. Srikanth, a B.Com graduate and resident of Bettahalli and working in a private factory, was on his way to submit a resume to apply for a job in another factory, when the armed gang intercepted him and stabbed him repeatedly before fleeing the spot.

Passers-by noticed Srikanth lying in a pool of blood and rushed him to a nearby hospital where he was declared as brought dead.

The Madanayakanahalli police have registered a case of murder and are investigating to track down the assailants.
