Five women, who had been to an ice-cream parlour on M.G. Road on Saturday, were in for a shock when they found five miscreants trying to open the doors of their car while they were seated inside it. The incident happened at around 11.30 p.m. when the driver had gone to get the ice cream. According to the complaint filed at the Cubbon Road police station, three men were seen staring at the car. After two others joined, they tried opening the doors. One of the women swiftly locked the doors. When one man tried opening the door using an object, the women cried out and started honking.

The miscreants fled the place, and a search for them proved futile. The women handed over to the police the videos of the miscreants they had taken. The police questioned owners of some of the outlets near the parlour. Cases of stalking, act intended to insult the modesty of a woman, and criminal intimidation have been booked.
