A 26-year-old woman and her two children were found charred to death at their residence in Nandagudi village of Hoskote taluk in Bangalore Rural district on Friday.

The deceased are Nagaveni, her son Murari (5) and daughter Lavanya (4). According to the police, a relative found the bodies when he went to the house and alerted Nagaveni’s husband, Manjunath. However, Nagaveni’s parents blamed Manjunath for the death. The parents alleged dowry harassment and said that Nagaveni was harassed for dowry even earlier. The couple had been married for about six years. The police said investigations would reveal if it was murder or suicide. They have booked a case of dowry death and arrested Manjunath (32), a lorry driver.
