Woman strangled to death

A woman construction labourer was strangled to death, allegedly by her husband, in their shed near Amar Narayana Temple, where they were working in Bagalur on Tuesday.

Priya (25) and her husband Shekhar were hired for the temple construction and lived in the site.

Neighbours told the police Shekhar used to come home drunk and have frequent fights with Priya.

The murder came to light when neighbours noticed the door of the house wide open and there were no sound. They later found Priya’s body lying on the floor and Shekhar was missing. The police are now looking him.

The mason who hired the couple said he did not know anything them while neighbours said all they knew is they were from Tamil Nadu.
