Daughter-in-law was sleeping in another room

A 42-year-old woman was found murdered at her home in Siddapura on Saturday.

Police said that the crime came to light when the domestic help came to the house at 4.30 p.m. and found the door ajar. On entering the hall, she found the victim, Pushpa, lying in a pool of blood with cuts on her stomach and neck.

Saroja alerted Pushpa’s daughter-in-law who was asleep in another room. According to the police, neither Pushpa’s relatives nor her neighbours heard anything unusual.
