A week-long convention on Upanishads, ‘Upanishad Sandesha’, organised by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in collaboration with International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) will be held from June 29 to July 4 at the ISKCON premises in Rajajinagar. H. N. Suresh, director, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bangalore, said this year's convention was organised on the lines of the week-long convention on Vedas in July 2013.

He said the Vedas convention had attracted many youngsters, especially from the software industry, and expressed confidence that this year’s Upanishads convention too would draw the young in huge numbers.

K. G. Raghavan, secretary, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan said the conference would feature as many as 75 scholars and 65 papers on various aspects of Upanishads will be presented.

Experts would present papers on the impact of Upanishads on literature of various vernacular languages, he said.
