Water-tanker knocks down seven; two killed, five injured

Two persons, including a 19-year-old college student, was killed and five others injured when a water-tanker knocked them down in Kempapura Cross in Hebbal on Thursday.

The deceased have been identified as Arpitha, Sindhi College student, and a Motorcycle rider, Anand (25).

Five others who sustained injuries have been rushed to near-by hospitals.

According to the police, the truck jumped signal and ran over the group of people who were crossing the road on zebra crossing.

The tanker was heading from Hebbal to Rajanukunte.

The horrific accident was recorded in a CCTV camera.

The water-tanker driver, idenitifed as Yatish Babu, stopped at the next junction after the accident and was arrested by the police.
