Warrant against 11 water activists in Kolar

The Additional District Principal and Civil Court here has issued a warrant against 11 activists of Permanent Irrigation Struggle Committee in connection with a stir they had staged.

The committee had staged a dharna in front of the office of District in-charge Minister K.R. Rameshkumar on November 8, 2016. During the protest, the agitators allegedly locked the office and damaged the window panes as well. The Gulpet police registered a case following a complaint lodged by the office staff.

Kolar City Municipal Council (CMC) members S.R. Murali Gowda, C. Somashekhar, CMC former vice president V.K. Rajesh, DCC Bank director Holali Praksh are among others against whom warrant was issued on Monday.
