A special drive for enrolling young voters from the 28 Assembly Constituencies of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) will be undertaken from July 1 to 31. The main purpose of the drive is to enrol those in the age group of 18-21, a release from the BBMP stated.
Young voters can enrol in the voter list by submitting Form-6 applications at Electoral Registration Offices, post offices, Sakala Service Centres and Citizen Service Centres in BBMP limits, apart from applying online. The drive is being held according to directions from the Election Commission of India.
Booth-level officers will be undertaking a door-to-door house visits in their jurisdiction. Camps will be set up on July 9 and July 23 by booth-level officers at polling stations, where citizens can submit their completed Form 6 applications.
