Van runs over five-year-old in Bengaluru's Pantharapalya

A five-year-old boy died after being run over by a van on Thursday evening in Pantharapalya off Mysuru Road. The police said Likhith was hit by a van carrying water cans when the driver started reversing abruptly after being unable to move ahead on an incline on Janatha Colony Road. The child suffered injuries in the stomach, hand and leg. He died on the way to a private hospital in Nagarabhavi. The driver of the van, Shashi, is absconding. The police have registered a case.
