Three persons had a narrow escape when the Maruti van in which they were travelling caught fire in the middle of the road at 8th milestone on Thursday. They noticed the smoke from the engine and got down before fire engulfed the vehicle. Police along with fire and emergency service personnel rushed to the spot and doused the fire.
Traffic was disrupted for sometime till the blaze was brought under control. The van was completely gutted.
