Unidentified middle-aged woman dies in accident, four-year-old boy battling for life

A KSRTC bus hit the duo when they were crossing Bellary Road near Hebbal flyover

A middle-aged woman and a four-year-old boy who were trying to cross Bellary Road near Hebbal flyover were hit by a KSRTC bus on Tuesday morning. Both the woman and the boy sustained severe head injuries. While the woman succumbed to her injuries, the boy is battling for his life in NIMHANS. Their identity is yet to be established.

The two were rushed to the nearby Baptist Hospital after the accident. The woman succumbed to her injuries at the hospital a few minutes after being treated at the hospital, police said.

The boy was later shifted to NIMHANS where he is being treated presently. The police sources say the boy’s condition was stable but critical.

S. Girish, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic-West), told The Hindu that efforts were being made to identify them.

Meanwhile R.T. Nagar Traffic police registered a case of causing death due to negligence against the KSRTC bus driver Muniraju P., and arrested him. The bus was plying between Bangalore and Shidlaghatta.
