Undertrial in hospital after being beaten up

October 19, 2010 12:30 pm | Updated 12:30 pm IST - BANGALORE:

In retaliation to the alleged assault of a colleague, an undertrial was severely beaten up by a team of advocates on the Magistrate Court premises on Nrupatunga Road here on Monday.

The undertrial, Yuvraj of Chandra Layout, a real estate agent, suffered severe injuries and was admitted. Yuvraj was arrested last week following an argument over parking which escalated into a brawl.

It started with advocate Rajendra, who had come to the Vinayaka Nursing Home on Nagarabhavi Road along with his daughter and cousin and parked near the hospital.

Yuvraj, who stays nearby, parked his car in front of Rajendra's, making it impossible for the latter to take out his car. An argument ensued with Rajendra allegedly trying to kick Yuvraj, who grabbed his leg.

It was in this connection that Yuvaraj was arrested and produced before court on Monday.
