The zilla panchayat member from Rajanukunte is in the dock for allegedly ransacking an underconstruction house over political rivalry. Based on a complaint, the Rajanukunte police have taken up a case against Venkatesh.

In a complaint filed by ZP member Renukeshwara, he stated that he was constructing a house in Sonnahalli near Devanahalli, to which Venkatesh objected.

Renukeshwara went ahead and started construction, since he had valid documents.

Venkatesh, along with his associates, barged into the house and reportedly damaged the premises, warning of dire consequences if the contractors did not stop the work.

The Rajanukunte police said that they have to verify the scene and question the people involved before initiating action.
