Hundreds of students of the University of Agricultural Science, Hebbal, boycotted classes and staged a protest against Agriculture Minister Krishne Byre Gowda, accusing him of neglecting students.

The protest was launched after a delegation of students met him demanding government jobs. The Minister allegedly shouted at them, stating that no one had asked them to join the course, and asked them to look out for jobs in the private sector instead of seeking government jobs.

The entire episode was recorded on a mobile and uploaded on social websites, leading to widespread criticism.

The protestors shouted slogans against the Minister and demanded the government to ensure job security for the students after graduation.
