Two persons killed, as car turns turtle

June 09, 2013 09:58 am | Updated 09:58 am IST - Bangalore:

Two persons were killed and another seriously injured when their car rammed the road divider and turned over a number of times before landing about 150 ft away from the National Highway 47 in Nelamangala Rural police limits on Saturday night.

The deceased are H.C. Suresh (42), who ran a two-wheeler showroom in Rajajinagar, and Raghu Ram (38), a civil contractor. They were on their way to Tumkur and had stopped at Kunigal where they met another civil contractor, Gangadhar. Gangadhar joined them on the return journey to the city via NH 47 when Raghu Ram braked suddenly to avoid a dog and crashed into the road divider.

The impact was so severe that the car travelled some distance away from the higway. Suresh and Raghu Ram died on the spot, while Gangadhar is critical.
