On Sunday morning, joggers noticed the body with the head crushed with a boulder, and informed the police. The Sarjapur police have taken up a case.

In another incident, a 65-year-old labourer was found murdered near Mattikere bus-stop in Yeshwanthpur. Mohana, who works in a tiles factory, was a resident of Gokula in Yeshwanthpur. He was headed home after visiting his daughter's house. Police said Mohana was found drunk and suspect that a drunken brawl could have led to the murder.
