Two housekeeping staff held on rape charge

The HAL police have arrested two housekeeping staff of Sakra Hospital for allegedly trying to rape their 20-year-old colleague at the operation theatre of the hospital on Monday.

The accused, Moinul Islam and his associate from Assam, sought the help of a woman who is working as cleaning staff to clean the operation theatre. When she got into the room the accused locked the door from inside and pounced on her. She raised an alarm and resisted their attack and managed to run out before alerting the staff.

Soon a complaint was made following and the HSL police rushed to the spot and arrested the duo who had joined the hospital a few days ago, the police said. The two ave been booked for outraging the modesty of a woman and remanded to judicial custody.
