Two held for bike stunts on roads

Cracking the whip on using bikes to perform dangerous stunts on roads, the East Division traffic police recently arrested two youths in separate incidents.

Mohammed Riyaz (19), a mechanic and resident of Nagawara, was caught by the Banaswadi traffic police on September 16 near Horamavu. Sunil (20), a resident of Kolar pursuing his B.Com in the city, was arrested on September 24 near Hennur Junction. According to a police officer, the duo used to perform stunts on busy roads on weekends with their modified bikes.

The Banaswadi traffic police have booked them under Sections 279 of IPC, and 3(1) r/w 181, 184, 189 of Indian Motor Vehicle Act.
