Two masked men attempted to rob an ATM of a nationalised bank in Koramangala in the early hours of Sunday. Another attempt was made by the security guard posted at the ATM in H.S.R. Layout.

The Koramangala police suspect that both attempts are related and that the two masked men may be involved in both cases.

In H.S.R. Layout, the police also suspect the role of the security guard, who is said to be missing since the incident. The security guard identified as Babusab reportedly was appointed just a day before the attempted robbery at the ATM.

The police said that the miscreants disconnected the CCTV before attempting to break open the ATMs.

Two cases of attempted robbery has been registered and efforts are on to trace the masked men.
