Two from Kerala arrested for selling illegal substance

The Suddaguntepalya police have arrested two persons hailing from Kerala and recovered 6.5 kg of hashish oil from them.

The accused Johnson Joseph (31) and his associate Biju Abraham from Kannur and Iduki district of Kerala are employed in rubber plantation.

The accused would bring the oil to the city and sell them to drug user who smear the oil on cigarette sticks and smoke it.

According to the police, the duo prepared hashish oil by soaking marijuana in alcohol and boiling it to extract hasish oil. It requires six kilo of marijuana to extract one kilo of hash oil, the police said.

Based on a tip-off, a team of police nabbed the accused red-handed while they were waiting at Taverekere bus stop for their customers.
