Two engineering students were killed on the spot, and two of their classmates others injured, when they slipped from the bike and came under the wheels of the KSRTC bus in Ramanagar on Friday night.
The deceased have been identified as Abhinav (22) from Kerala and Navjoth (22) from Odhisha. The injured have been rushed to a private hospital where they are said to be out of danger.
According to the police the four students who had gone to Kerala on bikes were returning to the city. The Ramanagar traffic police seized the bikes.
The bodies have been shifted to Ramanagar hospital for post-mortem.
