Two die in road mishaps

Two persons were killed and another injured in two accidents in different parts of the city since Friday night.

A 50-year-old pedestrian was knocked down by an unidentified vehicle on Old Madras Road. Mariraju had gone to his relative’s house in Indiranagar for dinner on Friday night and was returning to his house. While crossing the Old Madras Road in Indiranagar, the vehicle hit him. He sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Bowing Hospital for treatment. However, he succumbed to injuries on Saturday morning. The Indiranagar traffic police have registered a case and are trying to trace the vehicle driver.

In another accident, a 20-year-old employee of a private company was killed and his colleague injured when a tractor hit their motorbike on Hulimavu main road on Friday night as they were returning from work. The Hulimavu police are on the lookout for the tractor driver.
