Two chain-snatchers, businessman arrested

The Kalasipalya police have arrested three persons and recovered Rs. 20 lakh worth of gold valuables.

According to the police, the accused Sanaulla (27) and Sadiq (26) targeted women walking alone and robbed them off their valuables on the pretext of enquiring address.

After questioning, the accused revealed that they were involved in over 30 chain snatching cases in the last one year. The accused sold the booty to a Calicut-based businessman, Sudesh Kumar.

The police have arrested Sudesh Kumar and recovered the valuables from him.
