Two arrested for vehicle theft, robberies

The Rajgopal Nagar police have arrested two youth and recovered vehicles and gold valuables worth ₹10 lakh from them.

The duo identified as Prashanth (22) and Mahadevaswamy (22) would steal bikes parked outside houses in and around Rajgopal Nagar and using them would rob people.

The police based on a tip-off, nabbed the duo while they were waiting to rob people at an isolated place.

After detailed questioning, the accused confessed to as many as 15 vehicle thefts and robberies. The police are investigating further to ascertain their involvement in other criminal activities.
