Tête-à-tête with the LajazzO band

November 07, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:32 am IST - Bengaluru:

Want to know the secret of the stylised LajazzO play of Germany? The 29-member young jazz group, LaJazzO, from the land of Baden-Württemberg, known for their swarm of Jazz musicians, would be open for a tête-à-tête with Western music connoisseurs at the Bangalore School of Music (in association with Consulate General of Germany) on November 7 at 12 noon.

Apart from their three-concert tour of Bengaluru, the band, led by conductor Maeir, would address questions from the public and demonstrate their signature version of play. Aruna Sunderlal, Managing Trustee, Bangalore School of Music, says the ensemble is known for their precise movements, outstanding soloists and an avant-garde vocal group.

“It is one of the much-admired modern orchestras in Germany with more than 300 musicians performing at various concerts around the world, bringing a contemporary yet authentic version of European music,” said the Consulate General of Germany.
