Trial run on the green line

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. on Saturday commenced the trial run of metro trains on the green line, Reach 3A and 3 of the North-South Corridor of Namma Metro Phase 1.

The trial run was flagged off in the presence of Urban Development Minister S. Suresh Kumar; Secretary, Union Ministry of Urban Development, Sudhir Krishna; Chief Secretary S.V. Ranganath, and Principal Secretary, Urban Development, Bharat Lal Meena at the Peenya Depot of Bangalore Metro.

Mr. Suresh Kumar, in his Facebook post, said the trial run was done between the Peenya Depot and CMTI (near Peenya village metro station), a distance of about 2.5 km.

He said he was given to understand the trial run would extend to Devaiah Park (Malleswaram metro station) by April this year, and thence Sampige Road metro station.
