A day after a 23-year-old trainee scientist allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the 12th floor of his office building in the ITPB premises, the Whitefield police have booked the company - MU Sigma - for abetment to suicide.

The police have taken up a case under Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code, following a complaint filed by Mahendra Jaiswal, father of Bhavesh Jaiswal. In his complaint, Mr. Jaiswal has accused the management of harassing his son, which he claims pushed him to commit suicide. Bhavesh had reportedly spoken to his father about the pressure at work and harassment.
