Traffic to be diverted for Karaga festival

Traffic will be diverted in and around K.R. Market due to the Karaga procession from Tuesday midnight to early hours of Wednesday.

Traffic restricted According to an official release, vehicular movement on Avenue Road has been restricted and vehicles going towards K.G. Road should proceed through S.J.P. road and Town Hall to take that Road.

Similarly, vehicles coming from Mysore Road should go to Briand Circle, take right turn at Royan Circle to proceed towards Medical College Circle, Prof. Shivshankar Road circle to reach J.C. Road and further.

Meanwhile vehicles coming towards Mysore Road from others parts of the city would be diverted to adjacent roads to facilitate the procession.

Parking arrangements Parking facilities have been made at the BBMP’s parking complexes at J.C. Road, K.G. Road, Mamool Pet and Kempe Gowda Bus Station.

Parking of vehicles in and around the area has been prohibited.

Meanwhile, city-based NGO Maadhiam, has arranged drinking water facility and breakfast for Karaga bearers and participants.
