Ahead of the festive weekend, traffic snarls were reported from across the city on Wednesday.

While Gowri festival will be celebrated on Thursday, Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations will begin on Friday. This will be followed by the weekend, which has prompted a large number of people to head out of the city. While traffic moved at snail’s pace in the evening, the Bangalore Traffic Police’s Twitter page warned of bottlenecks in K.G. Road, Platform Road, Seshadri Road, Town Hall Junction, Cauvery Theatre Junction and Shoolay Circle.
