The Bangalore Police have imposed the following traffic restrictions from 1 p.m. of Wednesday to 9 a.m. of Thursday in view of the annual feast of St. Mary's Basilica near Shivajinagar.

Vehicles, including Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation buses, will not be allowed on Meenakshi Koil Street (from Jyothi Café Circle towards Russel Market), Broadway Road (from its junction with Cockburn Road towards Russel Market), Dharmaraja Koil Street (from its junction with Old Poor House Road towards Russel Market and Taj Circle), Seppings Road and Arunachalam Mudaliar Road (towards Russel Market), a release said here on Tuesday.

Also vehicular movement has been banned from BRV Junction towards Shivajinagar Bus Stand and from Balekundri Circle towards Shivajinagar Bus Stand.

Parking has been banned in the vicinity of Russell Market, on Broadway Road, Meenakshi Koil Street, Central Street, Shivaji Road, Cunningham Road (between Balekundri Circle and Wockhardt Hospital) and on Union Street.

Temporary bus-stops have been provided for BMTC buses at different places, the release added.

Bus-stops have been provided on Cubbon Road, between Kamaraj Road-Cubbon Road Junction, buses going towards Ulsoor, Old Madras Road, Domlur, K.R. Puram, Marathahalli, Varthur, Whitefield, Kadugodi and Hoskote.

Buses plying towards Jayanagar, Kengal Hanumanthaiah Road, Hosur Road, Koramangala and towards Bannerghatta will stop between B.R.V. Junction and CTO Circle on Cubbon Road.

Similarly, buses plying towards Kempegowda Bus Station (Majestic), Vijayanagar, Malleswaram, Rajajinagar, City Market and towards Mysore Road will start from Balekundri Circle.

Buses plying towards J.C. Nagar, R.T. Nagar, Yeshwanthpur, Peenya, Hebbal, Yelahanka, Jalahalli, Tannery Road, Nagavara, Banasawadi, Lingarajapuram and Ramamurthy Nagar will stop on Cunningham Road.
