The Traffic Police department has given the go-ahead for Namma Metro’s Phase 2 alignment at Central Silk Board junction along with plans to build a flyover jointly with the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA). The line will run from Jayadeva Hospital junction to Silk Board before turning towards Hosur Road.

“The traffic police have given clearance to BMRCL’s proposed flyover and metro line alignment at Silk Board junction,” said R. Hithendra, Additional Commissioner, Traffic in a tweet on Friday. Pradeep Singh Kharola, Managing Director, BMRCL, said, “I have not yet seen the clearance, but the next step would be to apply for clearance from the BDA.” Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had announced that the BDA and BMRCL would build the flyover above the metro line at Silk Board junction with BMRCL shelling out Rs. 200 crore out of a total cost of Rs. 300 crore.
